The science center located in Calabasas, CA. named in honor of inventor and astronomer George H. Lutz. We engage in the study of the sciences in addition to operating an astronomical observatory in addition to a cultural and historical museum with various collections and exhibits.
In addition there is a music connection that being a theatre named in honor of a dear family member who has since passed, this is a work of Love and Joy to establish this theatre in Calabasas, California. The theatre will consist of musical instruments from the 1800s, 1900s, and modern technology. As visitors reach the stop of the stairs to the stars they will see a Story & Clark organ with a replica of the Altec Lansing Voice of Theatre speaker system as was used in movie theaters in the 1940s. The speakers are powered by vintage McIntosh tune stereo equipment from the 1960s. Visitors will also see a 1914 Bosendorfer Baby Grand piano. For the future both an orchestrion and Jukebox are planned additions. Classic movies are also going to be a part of this project as well.
