Since this looks like the Apple section for this forum, I'll post the following from Apple:
Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL ) has built a new data center in North Carolina, It is the largest of these kind of facilities. The building will measure about 500,000 square feet, which the company plans to invest $1 billion into for the next 10 years. Rumors abound about what the building is to be used for, although there are five possibilities. It is thought it could be used to support the company’s advertising network, its music and/or video streaming services, future costumer cloud-storage services or voice-activated personal organization services.
Apple is a media services provider and hardware maker that has seen its share of problems in recent years. For example, its CEO, Steve Jobs, is a cancer survivor and has been back on sick leave since January. It has caused him to miss approximately 75 percent of the Disney board meetings. Due to his absence, an advisory committee recommended not to re-elect Jobs, but the shareholders disregarded the advice and re-elected him during its annual meeting yesterday.
