After many years of use we at the George H. Lutz Observatory has decided to decommission out 1960 6" F/10 Jaegers refractor. This telescope has served us well but it's value as a fine representation of telescope building history has increased significantly. Further we are moving to a new location in Calabasas, CA. in which a newer more transportable telescope will be necessary for our purposes which is why we have recently purchased a previously owned 6" F/12 Astrophysics refractor. The telescope mounting is the Losmandy GM-100 EQ. mount. Photos up ASAP to Lutz site.

We have started this summer off with great images through our newly acquired Astro-Physics refractor. Loron has purchased a number of accessories and eyepieces for the new telescope. Let me see if I can list them correctly. Some modifications such as new tube assembly rings were crafted for the telescope. The tube dis, is 6.5 inches OD plus a #492 Losmandy Drive system.

1.25 William Optics star diagonal
16mm aus Jena eyepiece w/adapter
12mm Clave' eyepiece w/adapter
1.25 26mm Brandon eyepiece
1.25 Dakin 2.4x Barlow

...all in addition to our set of Brandon eyepieces from Vernonscope 32mm,24mm,16mm,12mm, and 8mm

I was amazed at the performance of 16mm Zeiss with the Dakin barlow on Saturn.
