Oh, he hit me too. He's using a new string of names. I had a list once, but I
guess I deleted it. So many different names I wonder if he remembers his real

Hi, Saw this and just one question to ask.

How did you get rid of him?

He is running around various forums in the UK and causing troubles, have friends
that would like to know how to do it. If you still have the list of names he
used then we could probably add to it.

Kirk,

Feel sorry for you guys. He changes his alias frequently so trying to block a
name is hard to do. They need to watch the alias names and determine the TCP/IP
address that they are coming from. I believe he has several of those also. Block
the TCP/IP address then.

He (or they) have been plaguing this forum and others for at least a couple
years now. I don't know if all the aliases are the same person or not, I believe
it's a group of people(mentally handicapped juvenile delinquents) that conspire
together. The IP for each one can all be traced back to the same Cyber Café in
California. Somehow I believe the owners and/or management of the Cyber Café are
participants or at the least enablers of their trolling shenanigans.
Nevertheless, this web site remains reluctant to block an IP even though the
only people joining who trace back to that Cyber Café IP address are all tied to
those troll attacks. Therefore, with the help of some of the forum members here,
and the Moderators, we just have to keep on our toes for his(their) troll
attacks.

If it were up to me their IP would be locked out, and If I could I would have
the Cyber Café shut down and all involved arrested

I live in California. I do drink coffee. If this bear happened to amble into a
a certain cafe, with some friends who would fit right into a Clint Eastwood
movie, and announced that they were astronomers who like to chat on
Astronomy.com, do you think that might cause a few laptops to close?

No, I am a gentle bear, I wouldn't hurt anyone or even advocate anything
illegal, but having a few of us hanging about their place might convince these
juvenile persons to take up another hobby.

Just a fantasy from the old west.

The guy would be a project on his own to a psychologist. Seems he has taken a
dislike to the Stargazers Lounge, they banned him. Not sure why as a lot have
banned him. He was banned on Cloudy Nights but I notice a user that has the same
characteristics.

Noticed that he has a gripe with Baader eyepieces. It is LK, under a new names,
that keeps posting about problems in the Baader eyepieces on Cloudy Nights.
Everything is just too similar to be anyone else. Same style, moan and spelling
mistakes.

On one site a "new" user started off saying about a 10ins Zeiss refractor they
had. Someone pointed out that there seemed to be a number of 10ins Zeiss
refractors in the LA area. The posting suddenly stopped.

One site seems to have the idea of basically ignoring him. Then the only replies
he gets is from himself, well it seems to be him. Makes it a bit easy to
identify his other usernames: JStanton
