Mike Loffland of the Cloudy Nights forum is using an image belonging to NBCUNI in his avatar. This is a copyright issue that Universal Studios has been made aware of in addition to Mr. Loffland aswell. Thought you folks would want to know.

Looks like Mike Loffland of Cloudy Nights forum is using an animated gif from the movie Bruce All Mighty.

After speaking with Ruben, Loron did contact New York about the matter. I'm sure Universal will look into it along with checking other forums as well.

Carlos did tell me at last night's star party that sometimes one can purchase a gif that way or if the gif has been in public domain for a period of time, Universal might have a problem on those lines.

I know one of them was complaining that not many astronomers use the forums. Well we sure know why.
